DAY 17: THE SHARK, THE DOG AND THE DOLPHIN DRAMA -- A lesson from the Animal Kingdom—

Everything that surrounds us within the boundaries of this boundless universe, both animate and inanimate, has a way of re-orientating, teaching and opening-up our consciousness to see further into who we really are and who we can really be. Look up and see how radiant the sun always is; spotless a it appears, it also has a dark spot. Yet even in the face of the roaming clouds, it still manages to get its light through to us – though not as bright as when not hindered. The blue sky above, appropriate some parts and patches of the clouds to make itself more colourful and beautiful – the same cloud that leaves everywhere gloomy. What about  the Animal Kingdom? We have seen the mother hen hatch and breed its chicks; how jealously she guards them. The kites and hawks would come around; sometimes they succeed, yet the hen would do what it would always do, without reserve. Then it accepts what remains, until they could fend for themselves; then it starts over again. Too many lessons to be learnt from too many other things; but the latest example is what will briefly occupy the rest of this little piece

SOMEWHERE AT THE SEA

Somewhere in the middle of the waters wide and blue,
A dog peeped down from a boat’s dashboard
As if it saw a dog in the waters, just like it.
Its instinct drawing it ‘splash’ into the waters below.

A dog, a lady and a lady started off an adventure in a boat through the mighty blue waters. The ladies were inside, and unbeknownst to them, the dog stole away to the outside of the board. Lo, what beauty vast and blue stares at it! When it looked into the steady waters, I guess it saw a dog which it is. It followed the phantom dog, and found itself struggling to stay afloat. Sometimes in life, when we see things that entice us, we tend to follow then without proper evaluation. At those times, we wont to find ourselves in the state as precarious as this dog’s. Meanwhile, the ladies in the boat were still unaware of the danger which had befallen their companion. In the waters too, the sharks knew an emergency breakfast had been served.

There in the waters swam the dog in gracious move;
The boat too far moving out of sight.
Swift was the sharks to, a free meal in sight;
But swifter the Dolph in the dramatic Athletics.

It is said that the Dolphins are natural enemies to the sharks; and this motivates them to stop potential good things from going the Shark’s way. My take is: this is wrong. So, our drowning and swimming little dog definitely attracted attention, not from the boat, but from the waters. Though the ladies would later know something was amiss. The sharks were already surrounding, but one dolphin in sight could do wonders. It moved faster, nudging a shark aside and made for the poor little dog.
Back in the boat, the ladies were already out and looking for the little creature – and could only think of one thing – the worst. But just then, a figure up ahead made for a beautiful sight they watched in awe as the Dolphin, with the dog sitting comfortably on its back, made its way to the boat's dashboard. The dog was saved from the shark's teeth, but once safe, it seemed to turn around and bark...at the Dolphin.

Bark! Bark! Cried the dog at the Dolph
Why? Why? Asked the dolph in a surprised mode.
As if it realized, a ‘thank you’ gesture followed
Happy, the Dolph made a sight lovely; then into the waters...
Gone it was; to save again if it had to

Often in life, we have companions who may be too busy to care for our welfare/where about, even when we struggle in the depths. Some others may see  us as opportunities to be exploited; but bear in mind; always know there is an Angel who watches over you. It’s one desire is to see you safe and doing good. Most times you have been saved; sometimes we have not appreciated. However, just like the Dolphin, the Angel is just happy to see you safe; and may not care much about gratitudes. Yet, when the dog did respond, the Dolphin was overjoyed visibly. The same way would the Angel feel  when we always have a gesture to give, of ‘Thank you’. The Dolphin’s enmity with the shark could not be a driving force. The impetus Agitat here is the inherent instinct to help; and it would do that a hundred times if it had to.
“Thank You” are words. Accept them when/if they come. But when they do not, move on and keep up the good work. A ‘thank you’ has never added a moment to anyone’s life....
In the end,  this may have been from a movie (I am not sure now), but no matter whether it comes from  Live or Not - there's a whole lot one can catch from it all...

PAX!
